anti-binge tip that works!

I am so glad I discovered this! Now if you’re like me, when you binge, you’re in the kitchen and grabbing things, hovering, ripping things open, shoving stuff in your mouth as you take another fistful and then put it away, then going to another corner, repeat, repeat, repeat.

Here’s the tip…package things up! I learned this today when I went to eat a peanut butter pattie which is not going to give anyone a pretty body. My mother had wrapped up the plastic tray of cookies in a big ziplock bag and folded and crammed it back into the box. It  looked so hard and tricky to fumble with, I put it right back!

So here’s what you do: you wrap your bingey foods up in layers, twist them up in bags, tape them, put twisty ties on them. Maybe it will give you time to think twice.

making other people fat

^is probably my favorite pastime, after writing and looking at thinspo.

This morning I made my family breakfast in bed. Three buttermilk pancakes [240] with butter [60] and syrup [104], scrambled eggs with milk and cheese [202], and a veggie sausage [80]. total: 686

And then I made myself an egg white with mushrooms [27]. lol~

skinny recipe: vegetable pasta and light cheesy sauce!
Use a veg peeler to shred carrots or really any other vegetable into long noodly strips. Here I also added some chopped cabbage. Steam until it is very soft and hot, then add your sauce. I used a wedge of Laughing Cow light garlic and herb cheese for a nice, gooey but still slim alfredo/macaroni’n cheese taste. Very healthy, very light! Mine had 141 calories.

you CAN eat low calorie at home!

When I started dieting, I’d set 400 to 700 calories aside every day for family dinner. Now I know better! My mother and I got tired of wasting certain foods and always being out of others, having to squint and piece to make meals out of the weird stuff in the fridge every night, spending as much time thinking about how to possibly make dinner as we used to cook. So now I’m in charge of making meal plans and shopping lists for the family, so that we always have ingredients and save time by knowing what we’re eating! Plus we can try out new recipes without tons of stress, and so now we don’t eat bland pasta and canned sauce each week, nor do we order pizza as much. This also means I know exactly how many calories I’ll eat. Check out this week’s menu:

Monday: Chicken breasts with mushroom cream sauce, bread, chard [310]

Tuesday: Slow-cooked beef and barley stew, green salad [280]

Wednesday: Vegetarian lasagna, green salad [277]

Thursday: Beef, cheese, and noodle bake, asparagus, green salad [313]

Friday: Quinoa and black bean stuffed peppers, olive bread and oil [233]

Saturday: Persian lamb and chickpea stew over couscous [288]

Sunday: Roasted vegetable and goat cheese pasta salad, bread [191]

The calories listed are with normal portions but without bread, butter, grated cheese, dressing, etc, of course, because getting skinny isn’t a blazing free-for-all, but because all the meals are low-calorie, once you’ve got to your goal weight it is easy and painless to maintain!
